Parent Support

Monthly Get Together

Time for parents without their children is a vital, reflective opportunity.

Many of our parents/guardians find the charity as a last resort having exhausted other options of finding support. In an unjudgemental space we take the time to be together and, if we want, offer our stories within a respectful environment. We laugh – we sometimes shed a tear.

These are good spaces to remember that as a parent there is no single story – we all have our own extraordinary tale to tell about our extraordinary children.

Our sessions to date include: abstract drawing, a herb and tea making evening, a bread making session outside with Ecko Collective at Hawbush Gardens, a beautiful yoga evening with Harriet, felting, glass fusion, rock painting, print making and collage making. We recently gathered together for an apple picking morning for all the family and have enjoyed a sound walk by the river with Bill and Helen from workshop24

We aim for simple and shareable activities, and encourage parents to skill share. We focus on our attention and learning to create something new. We aim to meet the needs of as many as possible with evening sessions and weekend opportunities.

We have a long list of possible options from breadmaking to yoga to mudlarking! We often meet at a Gallery space in the centre of Stourbridge if the activity is an arts/craft one.

Please contact Sarah Goudie at for further info, dates and activity/venue.
